Nothing replaces raw experience, complemented by enthusiasm and confidence. I am unique in that I have 38 years in commercial and agricultural real estate. However, I felt we needed someone who understood and knew the residential market and the nuances of transactions in that arena. We needed advocacy and trustworthiness. First impressions matter and Barbara's attention to our situation and what we wanted was immediately impressionable to both Jeannie and I. She represented us as buyers and from our first dealings with her, it was clear God had blessed us with a professional in all regards. For the following 30 days, she demonstrated she was a person of her word. She was tireless in her efforts to serve us and was successful by every measure. There is no such thing as a transaction where things are perfect. Part of what Barbara demonstrated, by means of her years of experience and her body of knowledge in residential real estate transactions, was her ability to problem solve. She never skirted issues and was engaged with us as the buyers, but simultaneously with the seller, with the seller's agent, with the lender, with the termite inspector, roof inspector, home inspector, escrow company, appraiser, etc. Even at her own expense, she took on the function of problem solver and because of the breadth of her experience, was never passive or indifferent about her need to be proactive. We cannot envision having gone through this on our own. She is the quintessential professional because she listens to her client and acts on those things that matter in this process. Barbara found me my dream home! Barbara made my home buying experience as stress-free as possible. There were no surprises, as she always kept me informed about everything that was going on. She set up home inspections on days and times that were convenient for me. And even met me at the house to take a couple of measurements. Barbara has met with contractors when I could not and has provided lists of recommended contractors. Barbara is professional and kind.
