Good Evening. Here is a great thought for the day: I once had a friend who did a little acting project that paid big dividends. He called it "the year to live." He acted as if he would be alive for only one more year. He took the time to review past things that had impacted his life, both good and bad. This process inspired him to show his gratitude and appreciation to the many people who had touched his life in a positive way and to do it before his year was up. He found the strength to forgive the past hurts and resentments he'd been holding on to. The thought of dying allowed him to find the courage to commit to living a full life — to believe that nothing could hurt him now. When you're living on borrowed time, every minute counts. And it's not about taking a wild and crazy vacation. It can be about volunteering for a charity program, not shaking your fist at the SUV driver who just cut you off, and making eye contact with the woman at the deli counter who slices your ham just right and wishing her a good day. If you could create more meaning in your life, what would you do? More to the point, what are you waiting for? Make this year, this month, and this day the time to live to your fullest.
"Each morning is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When the sun rises tomorrow this day will be gone forever, in its place will be something you have left — may it be something good. Follow your heart, it knows what to do."
