Good Afternoon. Here is a great thought for the day: There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, "If I could only see the world, I will marry you." One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend. He asked her, "Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?" The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him. Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: "Take good care of your new eyes, my dear; for before they were yours, they were mine." Sometimes we forget, only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations. May we all honor our commitment and may we remember: Let's not forget that every day, every sight is a Gift. Before we say an unkind word — Let's think of someone who can't speak. Before we complain about the taste of our food — Let's think of someone who has nothing to eat. Before we complain about life — Let's think of those who lost theirs today. And before we complain about our children — Let's think of someone who desires children but has none. May we all see the world through the eyes of another.
"Each morning is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When the sun rises tomorrow this day will be gone forever, in its place will be something you have left — may it be something good. Follow your heart, it knows what to do."
