Good Afternoon. Here is a great thought for the day: What Are the Facts? Napoleon Bonaparte was not the short man of legend. His height was officially listed as 5'2" by his doctor. But some researchers say that that height was about average for a man of his time and place. Some historians believe there was a difference between French and English units of measure at the time and that Napoleon stood about 5'7" when the French measure is converted to the English measure, which would make him a tall man for that era. Other historians argue that the image of Napoleon as a short tyrant was a caricature created by British newspaper editors concerned that he would invade Britain. It is always a good idea to question ideas and "facts" we've heard repeated by others. Many people have misconceptions about the tax law, real estate investments, etc. Sometimes there was a change over the years, and the person wasn't aware of it. Other times, the person received wrong information in the past and never realized it wasn't correct. Sometimes they may simply be guessing when they pass along their "facts" to you. Bad assumptions and foundations lead to bad decisions. Be careful. It's when you think you know everything that you may find out that you don't.
"Each morning is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When the sun rises tomorrow this day will be gone forever, in its place will be something you have left — may it be something good. Follow your heart, it knows what to do."
