Good Morning. Here is a great thought for the day: Sometimes it seems there is certainly a lot of prejudice in this world. I've often found people who will elect to dislike someone because of something "they've heard" about them, never bothering to verify if the information is even true. That's prejudice. Envy is also a form of prejudice. Refusing to see or recognize the goodness, honesty, and sincerity in another simply because they've been more successful than we have in life (They must be cheating). Here's one of my favorite stories, it says a lot about prejudice. A boy named Patrick was in the first grade. His teacher asked the class, "What color are apples?" Then one little girl raised her hand and said, apples are red. The teacher said, "That's right Nancy, apples are red." Then another boy shouted, "No, apples are green!" The teacher agreed, "Yes Johnny, apples are also green." A second little girl broke in - "I think apples are yellow," she said. Then Patrick raised his hand and said, "No they're not, apples are white." The teacher tried to explain to Patrick that apples can be red, or green, or sometimes even yellow, but never white. Patrick was quite insistent. He said, "No they're not, just look at the inside." Like apples, we're all the same on the inside, surface color or attributed characteristics are only skin deep. There is a lesson in that simple story for us all. Prejudice is blinding, let's see what people are made of on the inside rather than the outside.
"Each morning is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When the sun rises tomorrow this day will be gone forever, in its place will be something you have left — may it be something good. Follow your heart, it knows what to do."
