Good Evening. Here is a great thought for the day: Carol's favorite treat was canned peaches. "We can't forget the peaches, Daddy," she exclaimed as she shopped for groceries with her father. There was only one can of peaches left on the shelf. It was dented and the label was partially removed. Carol grabbed the damaged can without a second thought and placed it in the cart. In the next aisle, they encountered a boy Carol's age who was with his mother. This boy was severely deformed and wore thick glasses. His face seemed to light up when he saw Carol and he waved. "Hello, Carol." "Hi," Carol answered curtly without looking at him. She pushed the cart past him quickly. "Carol, who was that?" her father inquired. "Just some boy from my class that I don't like," Carol replied. "Why don't you like him?" her father asked. "Daddy, you saw him. There's something wrong with him." "Look at this can of peaches. There's something wrong with it. Maybe we should put it back, better not buy it." "The can is banged up but the peaches inside are still good," Carol protested. "You're right," her father replied. "It doesn't matter what it looks like on the outside — it's what's inside that counts. And that's true for people too."
"Each morning is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When the sun rises tomorrow this day will be gone forever, in its place will be something you have left — may it be something good. Follow your heart, it knows what to do."
