Good Evening. Here is a great thought for the day: One day a seven-year-old boy went to the pet store with his dad to buy a puppy. The store clerk showed them to a pen where five four-week-old puppies huddled together. After a while, the boy noticed one of the litter all by itself in an adjacent pen. The boy asked, "Why is that puppy all alone?" The clerk explained, "That puppy was born with a bad leg and would be crippled for life, so we're going to have to put him to sleep." "You're going to kill this little puppy?," the boy said while petting it. "Well I'm sorry, but this puppy would never be able to run and play with a boy like you." The little boy looked at his father and, after a short conversation, his dad told the clerk that they wanted to buy the puppy with the bad leg. The clerk said, "For the same amount of money, you could have one of the 'healthy' ones. Why do you want this one?" The boy then bent over and pulled up the pant on his right leg, exposed the brace underneath and said, "Mister, I want this one because he's just like me." Let's all remember that every puppy and every person has value.
"Each morning is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When the sun rises tomorrow this day will be gone forever, in its place will be something you have left — may it be something good. Follow your heart, it knows what to do."
